Isabelle studiowała w Beaux-Arts de Paris w latach 1818-1824 u Achille'a Leclère'a . W 1828 był inspektorem robót przy Magdalenek w Paryżu. Isabelle uczyła architektury w School of Arts and Crafts of Châlons-en-Champagne w latach 1845-1880. Został mianowany architektem łaźni termalnych . Został oficerem Legii Honorowej (1862).
