Robert Marteau (8 lutego 1925 w Virollet , Poitou – 16 maja 2011 w Paryżu ) był francuskim poetą , prozaikiem, tłumaczem, eseistą, pamiętnikarzem.

Życie

W 1972 roku przeprowadził się do Montrealu, aby zamieszkać ze swoją dziewczyną. Pozostał dwanaście lat i zdecydował się na obywatelstwo kanadyjskie. Następnie przebywał w Paryżu. Został odznaczony nagrodą Charlesa Vildraca w 2003 r. od Société des Gens de Lettres za obrzędy i ofiary . W 2005 r. Académie française przyznała mu Wielką Nagrodę w dziedzinie poezji, po tym jak otrzymał Prix Henri de Régnier w 1997 r. za całą swoją twórczość od tej samej Académie . W 2006 roku centrum książki przyznało mu nagrodę książkową Poitou-Charentes za powieść W trawie . W 2010 roku otrzymał nagrodę Mallarmégo za książkę Czas zwykły .
