Willy'ego Heeksa

William EF Heeks, Jr. (ur. 1951), popularnie znany jako Willy Heeks , to amerykański malarz abstrakcyjny ekspresjonista .

Biografia

Heeks urodził się w Providence w stanie Rhode Island w 1951 roku. W dzieciństwie mieszkał zarówno w Providence, jak i Bristolu w stanie Rhode Island.

Brał udział w niezależnym programie studiów w Whitney Museum of American Art w 1973 roku i uzyskał tytuł BFA na University of Rhode Island w tym samym roku. Studiował w Tyler School of Art „s Graduate Program w 1978 roku i otrzymał honorowy doktorat sztuk pięknych z Rhode Island College w 1995 roku.

Heeks mieszkał i malował w Nowym Jorku przez wiele lat, zanim w 1996 roku wrócił do rodzinnej Rhode Island. Obecnie tam mieszka.
