AnimeIowa to coroczna trzydniowa konwencja anime , która odbywa się w lipcu w Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center w Coralville w stanie Iowa . Wszyscy pracownicy są wolontariuszami, a konwencja jest prowadzona przez fundację non-profit Mindbridge Foundation.

Programowanie

Historia

Pierwszy konwent AnimeIowa w 1997 roku został zorganizowany przez SFLIS Wing of Anime and Manga People (SWAMP). Podczas maskarady w 2008 roku wystąpiły problemy techniczne i niektóre pokoje uczestników zostały przeniesione do innego hotelu z powodu powodzi w Iowa w 2008 roku . Konwencja 2011 odbyła się podczas RAGBRAI . Cassandra Hodges miała wziąć udział w konwencji w 2011 r., Ale zmarła 27 czerwca 2011 r. Iowa River Landing była używana zarówno przez przejażdżkę rowerową RAGBRAI, jak i AnimeIowa w 2015 r. AnimeIowa 2020 została odwołana z powodu pandemii COVID- 19 .
