Trichomanes to rodzaj paproci z rodziny Hymenophyllaceae , zwanych paprociami włosiastymi . Opis rodzaju jest kwestionowany . Wszystkie paprocie z rodzaju to paprocie zwięzłe , z tkanką liścia typowo o grubości 2 komórek. Ta chudość na ogół wymaga stałego wilgotnego siedliska i sprawia, że liście są nieco przezroczyste. Z powodu tej przypominającej błonę tkanki liściowej roślina jest podatna na wysychanie. „Paprocie błonkowate” z taksonów Hymenophyllaceae rosną w stale wilgotnym środowisku. Klasyfikacja Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group z 2016 r. (PPG I) akceptuje rodzaj jako jeden z ośmiu w podrodzinie Trichomanoideae, mówiąc, że istnieje około 60 gatunków. Od października 2019 r.
